Ed Lynd, a native of Spokane, Washington arrived at Star Protection Agency in 2000 with more than 12 years industry experience providing security related services to a wide variety of customers and properties. Ed's responsibilities with Star Protection Agency include ensuring that Star provides safe and secure environments for all of Star's accounts, ensuring that Star keeps up with advances in security electronic systems and other technologies, business development and overseeing the operations department. Ed is committed to community development and is an active member of the Hawaii Joint Police Association, the Building Owners and Management Association, the Economic Development Council, the Chamber of Commerce and the American Society of Industrial Security.
As the Chief Operating Officer of Star Protection Agency, Robin K. Medeiros has responsibility and oversight for the operational performance of the company’s operations; as well as corporate business development, marketing and communications/public relations. Robin brings 25 years of military, law enforcement and security experience to his current position.
Robin is a former Honolulu Metropolitan Police Officer and has worked as a U.S. Navy Instructor in firefighting, counterintelligence and security. He has worked in the Maritime Threat Assessment Arena, conducting threat evaluations to assist clients with Coast Guard mandated requisite training and evaluations.
Robin is a licensed principal guard and a licensed private investigator in the state of Hawaii. He is also a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and a Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) with the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS International) which designates that he is board certified in both security management and investigations. The CPP is widely recognized as the security fields’ highest recognition for a practitioner. Robin is also board certified in the Reid Technique (CRT) of Interview and Interrogation, recognized by John E. Reid & Associates.
Anderson Hee is the Director of Business Development for Star Protection Agency. He is a retired Honolulu Police Department Lieutenant and a past Supervisory Special Agent for the Department of the Attorney General, State of Hawaii. Anderson is experienced in investigations of death, fires, explosives, workplace violence and sexual harassment. He has also participated and directed law enforcement in many large undercover investigations resulting in numerous convictions. Along with his investigative and supervisory skills, Anderson has negotiated work agreements between the Department of the Attorney General and other law enforcement agencies. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and is a licensed real estate agent in the State of Hawaii. He is a member of the Honolulu Board of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and the California Homicide Investigators Association. Anderson was also the past president of the Parkway Community Association and a past coach for the Police
Rodney Kahalepuna comes to Star Protection Agency with over 17 years of Security experience in retail, commercial and industrial security. Rodney began
his career in 1984 as a security officer and eventually attained a position as Security Manager with the Victoria Ward Center Properties. He has managed
all aspects of operations involved in the security industry. As Senior Security Director, his responsibility is to oversee the daily operation; fulfillment
of contractual obligations for each property and will also be the liaison for Star Protection Agency and their clients. Maintaining the highest quality of
standards for Star's officers at all locations and properties is one of top priority. Rodney is a Certified American Heart Association First Aid/Healthcare
Provider CPR/AED Instructor and PPCT Defensive Tactics Instructor.
Jerry has over 35 years experience in the law enforcement field. Jerry is a retired Honolulu Police Department sergeant and a past special agent for the Department of the Attorney General, State of Hawaii. Jerry is experienced in the investigations of sexual assault of children and adults, financial fraud, workplace violence and sexual harassment. Jerry headed and supervised the Honolulu Police Department's firearms training unit and deadly force instructor. Jerry holds a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and is a National Rifle Association certified firearms instructor and a certified firearms armorer.
Lowery joined Star Protection Agency in 1994 starting in the Patrol Division and later as an Operations Manager. His extensive experience in working a wide variety of posts makes him a valuable addition to the Star team. Lowery works to train officers in their duties at each post, responding to customer concerns and in preparing Operating Procedures for different jobsites. Lowery is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps as well and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Star Protection Agency.
Keith Shiroma retired with a total of 36 years of law enforcement experience with the Maui Police Department (16 years) and 20 years with the State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement.
Since 2001, Keith has been actively working in the private security field concentrating in firearms instruction and defensive tactics. He is versed in training, project implementation/management and database administration. Keith is a Sensei in the art of Judo and instills Judo°¶s philosophy of "contributing something of value" in all his interactions, as well as in his respective leadership/management style.
Jade started at Star Protection Agency in 2000. She has extensive experience in the operations, management and administration within the industry. Her background in customer service, client relations, and personnel management makes her a valuable asset for Star Protection Agency. Jade is responsible for recruitment, background checks, hiring, benefits administration and other personnel issues. She is also in charge of scheduling officers and ensuring that the right person is selected to staff each jobsite.
Jarrett Hew is the Security Manager at Kahala Mall Center, he has over 20 years of Hospitality and Retail Security experience. Jarrett started as a Security Officer and eventually attained the position of Director of Security for the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and Westin Moana Surfrider Hotels. Jarrett is a Certified Lodging Security Director with American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. Jarrett is the current Secretary for the Hawaii Hotel & Visitor Industry Security Association (HHVISA).
Hank has over 32 years of experience in the law enforcement field with the Honolulu Police Department and the Attorney General’s Office in Hawaii. He’s a Certified Protection Professional, member of ASIS International.
